Amelia ranked 3rd in the Basque Country in the Macarfi Guide 2026

The Macarfi Guide has ranked Amelia third among the restaurants of the Basque Country in its 2026 edition, presented during the guide’s eleventh annual gala. In the Euskadi ranking, Paulo Airaudo’s two-Michelin-Star restaurant in San Sebastián is positioned behind Azurmendi and Nerua Guggenheim.

The recognition reflects the assessments gathered by the Macarfi Guide from a network of more than 2,000 local ambassadors and gastronomy enthusiasts across Spain. Each year, their evaluations contribute to the guide’s regional and national rankings.

The distinction comes as Amelia begins a new chapter in its new home at Hotel María Cristina, reaffirming the restaurant’s place among the leading dining destinations in the Basque Country.
