Aleia restaurant opened in November 2021 at Hotel Casa Fuster, one of Barcelona's modernist landmarks. Led by Paulo Airaudo and young chef Rafael de Bedoya, Aleia offers a contemporary tasting menu focused on seasonal products, with a special emphasis on fish and seafood. Their cuisine blends classic technique with bold creativity.
Aleia occupies the noble floor of Hotel Casa Fuster on Barcelona's Paseo de Gracia, a modernist palace designed by Lluís Domènech i Montaner in the early twentieth century. The dining room is luminous and elegant - defined by grand columns, a soaring window and an undulating ceiling - a space of calm and natural light intended to hold many moods, from intimate dinners to quiet discovery. The restaurant is a collaboration between Paulo Airaudo, who provides its strategic and creative direction, and Rafa de Bedoya, the Jerez-born chef who leads the kitchen day to day. Their cooking is a cuisine that dialogues with its surroundings, weaving De Bedoya's Andalusian heritage together with nearby Mediterranean ingredients through precise technique, seasonality and honest flavour. Guests are received through a single seasonal tasting menu, offered with optional wine pairings. Aleia opened in December 2021, earned its first Michelin star in November 2022 and was awarded a second in 2025, establishing it among Barcelona's most significant contemporary dining rooms.

“Few spaces in Barcelona are more elegant or romantic than Aleia. Better still, the food more than lives up to the hype.”
“El pan como plato, con la relevancia que merece, no como acompañante sino como protagonista. Aleia, aleluya.”
“¿Una experiencia dual que fusione alta gastronomía y arquitectura? Pocas opciones encontrarás más interesantes.”
